Peer Tutors

Interested in becoming a peer tutor? We recruit high-performing students each semester.
- Requirements: GPA ≥3.5, course grade of A/A-, faculty recommendation
- Compensation: $20/hour for undergraduate tutors, $25/hour for graduate tutors
- Training: 8-hour paid training program on effective tutoring techniques

USMLE Step 1 Preparation Program
Comprehensive support for medical students preparing for USMLE Step 1:
- Weekly review sessions covering all major organ systems
- Practice question workshops with detailed explanations

Timeline: Begins 8 weeks before dedicated study period
Quantitative Skills Support (Biostatistics, Epidemiology)

How to Schedule a Tutoring Session
Step 1: Create an Account
Visit our online scheduling system and create an account using your Pars Medicine email address.
Step 2: Browse Available Tutors
Search for tutors by subject area, availability, or tutor name. View tutor profiles, ratings, and specialties.
Step 3: Book Your Session
Select an available time slot that works with your schedule. You'll receive email confirmation with session details.
Step 4: Attend Your Session
Sessions are held in the Tutoring Center (in-person) or via Zoom (online). Arrive on time and bring relevant course materials.
Cancellation Policy
Please cancel at least 4 hours in advance if you can't make your session. Late cancellations may result in loss of future scheduling privileges.
